Maximum hire time is 28 days. These depend upon the hire dates you have chosen. Week - 7 nights - Friday - Collect at 2pm Weekend - 3 nights - Friday - Collect at 2pm Mid week - 4 nights - Monday - Collect at 2pm Please allow an hour when collecting the vehicle to complete the checks of the van and to pay the security deposit and sort the relevant paperwork. These depend upon the hire dates you have chosen. Week - 7 nights - Friday - Return at 10am Weekend - 3 nights - Friday - Return at 10am Mid week - 4 nights - Friday - Return at 10am Please allow half an hour when returning the vehicle to complete the checks of the van. Once you have confirmed you are happy with the dates we will contact you via post with the forms to be completed. Please also include a 20% booking deposit when returning the paperwork. All cheques should be made payable to 'Dan Will LLP'. Cheques for bookings can only be accepted if it is more than four weeks before the start hire date. On receipt of the completed booking form and your deposit, we shall confirm the hire by email or in writing to your address, and this contract comes into effect when we post that confirmation to you. We will then invoice you with the balance payable 28 days before the hire date. Failing this, we reserve the right to rent out the vehicle to someone else and keep your booking deposit. A returnable £500 security deposit will also need to be made via cheque or bank transfer at least 7 days before the hire commences or cash on the day hire commences. This will be returned in full when the campervan is returned in the same condition it left at the start of your hire term. A fully refundable £500 security deposit payable by bank transfer, cash or cleared cheque is required before the hire commences. Cheques and bank transfers must be cleared within our account before the hire commences. Cash security deposit is payable on the day of hire. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle on the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was let out, with a full tank of unleaded petrol. The security deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days. Should any damages exceed the security deposit the hirer will be responsible in settling the additional costs, similarly if the damages do not exceed the security deposit Dan Will LLP will only charge for the necessary amount. A charge will be made to you for any vehicles that are returned late or damaged. If vehicles are returned past the date and specified time, hirer's render themselves liable to overtime charges of £25.00 an hour. (Please remember this may affect someone's holiday too.) 20% deposit - Can be made via, cash, cheque or bank transfer 28 days before the start of the hire date. Hire charge - Can be made via, cash, cheque or bank transfer 28 days before the start of the hire date. Security deposit - Can be made via, cheque or bank transfer 7 days before the start of the hire date. Cash security deposits can be made on the day of hire. Currently we do not accept credit or debit care hire at present. However we can take payment via PayPal from you if you prefer, although we have to add a 2.5% charge to your bill for payment via this method. You are welcome to leave your car at our premises. This will be parked off road and your vehicle must be left at your own risk. Note - vehicle keys will need to be left with us. Unfortunately currently we do not offer European travel. VAT where applicable is already included in the hire charges. Age limits: 25 to 70 years. Driver must have held a full valid British licence for more than three years. Driver must have no more than 3 points on there license. The production of a valid standard driver's licence is required from the start of hire. The driver is personally liable for all legal penalties (e.g.: speeding, parking fines etc), which are incurred during the period of hire. The driver must provide 2 separate forms of identification, e.g. credit card, recent utility bill or passport, at least one of which is photo identity. The vehicle is insured fully comprehensive for the named hirer for the term on hire. The excess is £500 and therefore in the event of any accident the first £500 will be paid for by the hirer. It is the hirer's responsibility to provide their own insurance to cover personal items and belongings and personal injury in the event of an accident. In the event of any accident, loss or damage arising out of the use of the vehicle, the Hirer will notify Dan Will LLP within 24hrs of the happening of the event, obtain the names and addresses of third parties and any witnesses and report the event to the nearest police station. The Hirer undertakes to assist Dan Will LLP in handling any claim arising from any event, including providing all relevant information and attending Court to give evidence. The Vehicle is not to be:- driven otherwise than in a cautious, prudent and normal manner; used in a manner which could cause damage; driven in a prohibited area or in an area other than the areas indicated by the hirer to Dan Will LLP; driven by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs; left with the ignition key in the vehicle while it is unoccupied; left unoccupied without the radio faceplate removed; steering lock applied and valuables concealed; driven by persons under the age of 25 years or who is not authorised by law to drive the Vehicle or named in the agreement; damaged by submersion in water; put into contact with Salt Water; used for any illegal purpose for any race, rally or contest; used to tow any vehicle or trailer; used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward; used to carry more persons than is permitted by any relevant authority or detailed in the Vehicle manual or on the Vehicle or specified in this agreement; used to carry volatile liquids, gases, explosives or other corrosive or inflammable material; or otherwise used in breach of the Hirers obligations under this Agreement. The hirer also agrees not to carry more passengers than the seating capacity. The maximum height of the vehicle is 8' 6" or 2.6m. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure damage to the roof by passing under bridges, car park barriers, low tree branches or hitting the roof by any other means does not occur. Before driving the vehicle every day both the water level and oil level must be checked. An explanation on how to do this will be carried out when the vehicle is collected. When on hire it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the vehicle is in a safe condition to be driven. Included in the vehicle is a jack, spare tyre and fluorescent jacket in case there is a puncture. Also included is a spare bulb set. The hirer will be liable for any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel. E.g. in filling the petrol tank with Diesel. Engine Care If there is damage or breakdown caused by your own actions; you will be liable for the cost of repair/replacement. This could be such things as pushing the engine too hard, or putting diesel in a petrol engine. This list is not exhaustive. You must check the oil, water daily refilling as necessary before driving and other gauges (temperature and any warning lights whilst driving) Keep the speed down. The vehicle will travel at 70mph (where speed limits allow), but it is more comfortable between 60mph – 65mph. You will find the gears, brakes and steering very different to modern cars and it is advisable to leave lots of space and allow lots of time for braking and gear changing. As the vehicle is a high sided van it is subject to cross winds when passing bridges, open spaces or Lorries. Don't let your van struggle up hills – better to change down and keep the revs up than to allow the engine to labour. The campervan will leave our premises with a full tank of petrol. Can you please return this with a full tank of petrol. There is a shell petrol station less than 1 mile from our business premises and can be filled there. Any vehicle returned without a full tank of petrol will be charged at £30 per quarter tank or there of. The vehicle runs on standard unleaded petrol. The hirer should initially make us aware of any breakdown. We have UK wide RAC fleet breakdown and recovery for roadside and overnight location assistance, included in the hire charge. If the RAC is unable to repair the vehicle, they will transport you, your passengers and the vehicle to our premises. You are liable for the cost of any damage or punctures. In the event that a tyre is returned damaged at the end of your hire, it will be at our discretion whether to repair or replace it. If you have a puncture during your hire and you are not confident in changing the tyre yourself you may use the RAC breakdown service to replace the tyre. You must use seatbelts when the vehicle is in motion. You should only carry the amount of people that there are seatbelts for. The camper is equipped with standard 3 point seatbelts for the driver and front seat passenger. There are two lap belts for passengers travelling in the rear. You are legally responsible for obtaining and using a child or baby seat as required. No pets can be carried in the vehicle. Please do not smoke in the camper or the awning. Any damage caused by the hirer as a result of smoking, may be liable to loss of some or all of the security deposit. You will be supplied with two camping gas cylinders in the vehicle. One will be full and unused. Should the gas cylinder run out, this can be swapped with the second gas cylinder. We will meet the cost of one additional cylinder of gas on production of a valid vat receipt. Unfortunately with no reciept we are unable to pay for the cost of the gas re-filling. Please ensure the vehicle is returned internally in a clean state. Please notify us of any damage to the vehicle. As the vehicle is on hire we would like to repair any damage before hiring it out to the next person. A chemical toilet is provided for you to use. Please return the chemical toilet empty. These can be emptied at any camping site you visit. Failure to return the toilet empty will result in a £25 fine. When you book your campervan, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, home address, telephone number, and banking details. This allows us to book the campervan and insurance for you. Any banking details will be shredded when the security deposit is returned to you following the end of the hire agreement. We will also collect non-transactional data should you request a brochure or take part in a survey, for example. We may use the information that we collect to occasionally notify you about news and information we think you may find valuable. For example, we may send you our latest brochure, supplements, newsletters and special offers. If at any stage you decide that you would rather not receive such information, please contact us by telephone, email or post. As the campervan is on constant hire there is a risk that the previous hirer has damaged the campervan and it is unable to be rented out to you. In this case both the full hire charge paid and any deposit(s) paid will be returned in full to you on the day your hire was due to commence. Please note your 20% booking deposit is not refundable once your booking has been confirmed by us. In the event that you wish to cancel a booking: More than 4 weeks prior to departure – 50% hire charge will be refunded (less your non-refundable booking deposit) Less than 4 weeks prior to departure – no hire charges will be refunded. If we are contacted by any agency with regard to any speeding ticket or parking fine whilst the vehicle is on hire the details of the person hiring the vehicle will be passed onto the relevant agencies asking for the information. We will also send on a copy of the offence to the person who hired the vehicle over that period. A £500 deposit is required as well as the hire charge, this will be retuned in full, seven days after the vehicle is returned, assuming there is no damage to the vehcile. The vehicle will leave our premisis full. There is a Shell petrol station 1 mile from our premisis. If the vehicle is returned without a full tank of petrol this will be charged at £1.50/L. The minimum penalty charge will consist of a quarter of a tank. The tank of the vehicle holds 60 litres of fuel.
