Terms & Conditions of Hire Booking At time of booking, £150 towards the total cost of hire will be required to secure the van, Bus Off. Once this is received, along with the completed booking form we shall send you a booking confirmation. The full balance shall then be payable 7 days prior to commencement of booking. We are at liberty to cancel the booking by written notice if payment is not made as stipulated. Full payment must be made if booking is within 7 days of hire commencement. Deposits can be made through a bank transfer, bank details shall be provided once we have received the completed booking form. Vehicles will not be released without full payment being completed. Cancellation In the event of cancellation between payment of the deposit and commencement of the hire period the deposit shall be forfeited. Cancellation after full payment has been made will result in a loss of 50% of total hire cost which we are free to retain out of the payment made by you. No refund shall be given if cancellations are made within 7 days of commencement of the hire period. Security Bond A refundable security depoits of £500 will be payable prior to or on the day of vehicle collection. This can only be paid by bank transfer - we do not accept card payment, PayPal or cheque. The full amount shall be refunded on return of the campervan in accordance with the following terms: Undamaged and in sound working order The van should be fully cleaned and in the same condition as when rented out A full tank of Diesel All cooking appliances must be clean and accounted for. Any cleaning required of the van shall be charged at £25 per hour. Outside equipment must be dry and returned in the same condition as received in. A charge of £50 per hour for late return shall be charged. Please note that the camper is not insured outside the period of hire. In the event of damage, loss or breach of any of these conditions, the security deposit will be retained until the full cost of repair/replacement is ascertained. Upon completion of any repair/damage an invoice will be supplied along with any refund of the security deposit which is due. Should any damage exceed the security bond the hirer will be responsible for settling forthwith the additional costs. Insurance The hirer is responsible for a standard excess of £500 in case of accidental damage, fire, theft, or third party damage. The hirer is fully responsible for any windscreen or tyre damage. Drivers Under our insurance policy's terms, the vehicle can't be hired out to or be driven by: Hirers under 25 or over 75 years of age unless otherwise agreed by the Insurer. Hirers aged 25 or over unless a full valid UK/EU driving licence has been held for 24 months. Persons who have been convicted of an offence in connection with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/or have had their driving licence endorsed or suspended or penalty points imposed. Parking and not more than two speeding offences in the past 3 years may be ignored. Spent convictions, covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 may be disregarded. Persons who have had their licence revoked by DVLA due to medical grounds or convictions. Persons who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any Motor Insurer Persons engaged wholly or partly in professional entertainment or professional sports persons Jockeys and persons connected with racing of any sort. Undergraduates and/or students under 25 years of age. Persons who, whilst driving, have been involved in more than one accident during the past 3 years. Foreign Service Personnel other than persons born in the United Kingdom. Personal Travel Insurance The insurance does not include personal belongings and personal injury in the event of an accident. It is your responsibility to cover personal items and belongings and personal injury in the event of an accident. Breakdowns & accidents In the event of a breakdown or accident without fault on the part of the hirer or driver, where the vehicle cannot be fixed and the rental period cut short a refund will be made pro-rata basis. Using the camper The hirer agrees that he/she: Shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle Will take legal responsibility for obtaining & using a child or baby seat when required. Will not take the vehicle off road or on any roads unsuitable for vehicles. Shall not take part in any rally, race or other contest Shall not use the vehicle for any illegal purposes Shall not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs The campervan should not be taken to Ireland or Europe No smoking in the camper van No pets in the camper van Shall be responsible for regular oil and water checks, stop and react to any dash warning lights, refuel with diesel only. Receipts must be provided for any repairs incurred. In the event that the keys are lost or damaged you will be liable for the reasonable costs of obtaining a replacement and any further costs if directly related to the theft of the van. Lost keys will cost £180 to replace, and £1 per mile each way will be charged to deliver a replacement key to the camper's location
