Insurance: The renter must be between the ages of 25 and 75 years of age, proof of identity with photo must be produced prior to hire, plus a full driving licence. Insurance is fully comprehensive. For hire in the EU there is an additional charge of £32 per week. It is the renter’s responsibility to provide their own insurance to cover personal items and belongings, including personal injury in the event of an accident. The vehicle may not be used in a stop start situation ie: Support vehicle for any charity run, walk, bike ride, etc unless by prior arrangement with the owner. Fines: The renter shall be responsible and reliable for any fines or penalties incurred during the term of hire. The owner shall not be under any liability for any third party claims for damages in connection of any accident or breakdown. The vehicle has breakdown insurance, in the unlikely event of a breakdown contact the number given to you by the owner, approval must be obtained from the owner for any repairs or replacements. The maximum height of the vehicle is clearly stated inside the vehicle, any overhead damage is the responsibility of the renter. Tyre damage including punctures is the responsibility of the renter. Any call out charges due to the negligence of the renter or his passengers, for example, lost keys, wrong fuel, etc will be their own responsibility. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that the engine oil and water levels are checked on a daily basis, any damage to the engine due to not ensuring that the oil and water levels are correct will be the responsibility of the renter.
