Terms & Condition 1. Driver All Drivers must be aged between 25 & 70. All Drivers must have held a Full UK Licence for a minimum of 2 Years and have the correct entitlement to drive the desired motorhome (Category B Licence Required). We can refuse to hire to certain occupations, please check before booking. There may be an additional charge if you have penalty points on or pending on your licence, along with any claims fault or none fault and any medical conditions that DVLA need to be aware of. 2. Driver Licences and Check Code UK Drivers will be required to supply 2 DVLA check Codes, first on filling out the Driver information form, then the second on pickup of the hire vehicle (which must be dated no more that 2 weeks before start of the hire). We will require authorisation to carry our a Driver Licence check, this will be advised once booking request has been received. 3. Insurance Comprehensive Insurance is included for one driver as part of the hire agreement whilst travelling within the UK. The vehicle is insured for the period of hire contracted ONLY, thus a late return of the vehicle would automatically constitute a traffic offence under the Road Traffic Act - Therefore making the Insurance invalid and the main hirer and any subsequent drivers personally liable for any accident or damage to the Motorhome or 3rd Party or 3rd Party Personal Injuries. Hirers are advised to take out additional personal holiday insurance. There is a £1,000 excess which must be paid by the hirer following any incident where an insurance claim is made. Additional Drivers can be add at a and extra cost of £50.00 per week, subject to driving licence checks, details of any claims fault or none fault,and any medical conditions that DVLA need to be aware of, along with ID confirmation. 4. Documents Required On arrival you will be asked to show your confirmation email/document and driver(s) Licence(s) of any party who will be driving. You must request a licence code from the DVLA for each driver in order for us to check your licence for any points etc. at the web address: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence, to be carried out prior to the hire. We require two forms of ID/proof of address for each named driver. Primary form of proof - utility bill/statement eg water, electric, gas. No more than 90 days old from the date of travel to confirm your eligibility to hire. Secondary form of proof - Council Tax Bill 5. Security Deposit/Insurance Deposit A security deposit of £1,000 (£1,200 deposit for festival hire, events or sporting events and ferry crossings whether UK or EU) is payable 7 days prior to hire of the Motorhome and is taken to cover any damage or breakages of the equipment. If any Festivals, Events, Sporting Events or ferry crossings are attended without prior arrangement the security deposit will not be refunded. When the Motorhome is returned it will be checked over and once deemed to be in a satisfactory condition as agreed, in the same condition as it was let out, with the no damages, the toilet and waste water tank empty, interior clean and all cooking appliances and fuel tank replenished this deposit is returned in full directly into your bank account. We reserve the right to increase the security deposit for specific events. We reserve the right to deduct any amount which we determine to be due to us from the damage security deposit and our opinion as to what is due is binding except in the of manifest error. 6. Booking Procedure & Payment A Initial deposit of £250 is required, this is non-refundable and must be paid Directly at the time of agreed booking (once dates are confirmed) from the hirers bank account. The balance of your booking is due 6 weeks prior to the start of your hire, or at the time of your booking if you book less than 6 weeks from the start of hire, which will be confirmed by email. The Security Damage Deposit of £1,000.00 (or £1,200.00 depending on travel plans) is payable 7 days prior to collection of the Motorhome by bank transfer. These terms and conditions have been provided to you they are binding on you whether or not they have been signed by you, we will not hire any Motorhome on any other terms and conditions. Final payment is by Bank Transfer. 7. Charges More than 6 Weeks Before: Booking Deposit will be lost. 6 Weeks to 2 Weeks: 50% of total hire charges will be lost 2 Weeks to No Show: 100% of total hire charges will be lost We cannot transfer or postpone the money from one Hire to another. We reserve the right to amend our cancellation policy for certain events. 8. Vehicle Collection The vehicle is available for collection from us at 2.00pm (unless otherwise agreed by us), and will be confirmed by email with your booking form. Please allow 1 hour for the handover of the vehicle. We want you to enjoy your holiday in full - time spent in getting to know your new home will help to ensure you get the maximum benefit from your hire, you are advised to check the vehicle thoroughly before leaving. Customer’s vehicles may be left behind locked gates at the owner’s risk and we accept no responsibility for any damage that may occur. 9. Vehicle Returns Late returns have a significant impact on the next hire. All vehicles must be returned to us by 11:00 am on the final day of the rental agreement (unless otherwise agreed by us). If you fail to meet the return time you will be liable for an extra charge of £50.00 per hour. Upon which we will check the vehicle form damage, cleanliness, etc. This will also include the conditions of the tyres and windscreen which are NOT included in the Company’s Insurance Cover and any damage to which is the hirer’s responsibility. There are no refunds for the early return of the vehicle. 10. Breakdown Our vehicle is maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, however there may be times when due to a component failure, the vehicle breaks down. Full Roadside Assistance is provided and will be explained in the handover. If repairs are required due to a Accident/Breakdown, please contact us immediately for authorisation on 07939847272. We must be informed of incident before any work is carried out otherwise the hirer will be responsible/liable for the full cost. In the event of work being carried with authorisation a full invoice and receipt must be obtained and given to us upon return of the vehicle for reimbursement. 11. Vaping/Smoking Vaping (electronic cigarettes) and Smoking inside the vehicle in the cab or living areas is STRICTLY PROHIBITED at any time. Failure to comply with this will result in the for loss of the security damage deposit. 12. Pets No animals other than guide dogs are permitted in the vehicle, unless agreed at the time of booking. Failure to comply with this will result in the loss of the security damage deposit andall damage will be charged to the hirer in full. 13. Seatbelts The Motorhome is fitted with three-point seatbelts. These must be worn at all times when the vehicle is in motion. Appropriate car seats must be used for children in accordance with the law. It is the responsibility or the hirer to fit any child seat themselves. We take no responsibility for any ill fitted child restraints or for seat belts not been worn. 14. Campsite Bookings It is the responsibility of the hirer to pre-book and confirm all caravan and campsite they intend to stay at during the holiday. We take no responsibility for any bookings or cancellations at the caravan or camp sites. 15. Fuel, Oil, and other Consumables The vehicle is supplied with a full tank of diesel and should be returned in the same manor. If the fuel tank is not showing as full then it will be refuelled and the cost of the fuel plus and admin fee of £50 will be charged. There are two gas cylinders supplied, one of which will be full. If more gas is required this is the responsibility of the hirer. In any event both cylinders must be returned with the Motorhome. 16. Mileage Our Motorhome has the benefit of Unlimited Mileage. 17. Accidents In the event of an accident the safety of the hirer and their party is paramount. Emergency services should be called if necessary and the accident dealt with in the necessary manner. Only after everyone involved in the accident is safe, the hirer should then contact us if necessary and then try and minimise the loss to the company if it is safe to do Regardless of how minor the may seem, full details of anyone involved need to be noted down on a Accident Report Form which is in this pack, this is the responsibility of the hirer, if the accident is of a serious nature, causing damage to the vehicle, another vehicle or third party, then we must be informed. You are provided with a basic first aid kit, a fire extinguisher. Please do inform us of any use of these items so that we can replace them. Failure to do so may cause a hazard for future hirer’s. Once again we would recommend that all parties have their own Personal Travel Insurance. 18. Events beyond our Control Unfortunately, events beyond our control occasionally affect bookings. When reference is made to such events in these Terms & Conditions of Hire, this means any event(s) or circumstance(s) which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation, costs or expenses where performance of your contract with us is prevented of affected or you otherwise suffer any loss or damage as a result of events beyond our control. This includes delays to and/or restrictions to your hire you may be subject. However, if your booking has to be cancelled as a result due to a vehicle issue beyond our control as result, your hire payments will be refunded. We are not liable for any charges/cancellation fees for campsites/destinations previously booked by the hirer. We would recommend that the hirer and its parties have their own personnel travel insurance to cover such events. 19. Suitable Persons We have the right to refuse to hand over the vehicle to any person who in our reasonable opinion, is not suitable to take charge. In such cases No Refund of the hire charge will be made by us and we will have no further liability. 20. Your Responsibilities 1 - You are responsible for the security of the vehicle at all times during the hire period. You must NOT drive the vehicle “OFF ROAD” other than for reasonable access to campsites. Should your become stuck at any time while “Off Road” you will be liable for any recovery costs and Underside Damage. The Breakdown Cover is for Roadside Assistance Only. The insurance policy does not allow Wild Camping. 2 - You are responsible for all fines and any other legal charges. If we are contacted by the authorities regarding any Traffic Offences whilst the vehicle is hired to you then we will be obliged to pass on your information as requested. This also includes any Speeding offences, driving offences, parking fines, congestion charges and the full cost of any fees associated with the vehicle being impounded and any on the spot fines. 3 - You are fully responsible for all the keys that belong to the vehicle. Lost keys are expensive and are not included as part of the breakdown service. You will be responsible for the full cost of the replacement keys and locks if required. You will also be liable for the full cost of repairing any damage caused by forced entry to the vehicle. 4- You must not sell, rent, lend or dispose of the vehicle or any of its parts, you must not give anyone legal rights over the vehicle. The vehicle remains the property of the Company at all times. 5 - At the time of handover the vehicle will be in a documented roadworthy condition. You must maintain the vehicle n a roadworthy condition at all times. You must report any fault in of on the vehicle as soon as possible to us, allowing us reasonable time to locate parts and make any necessary repairs. 6- You must make sure that you use the correct fuel. Using the wrong fuel is not covered by the breakdown service and you will be liable for the full cost of any remedial repairs required and the vehicle being checked as a result of using the wrong fuel 7 - The Hirer shall be responsible for all 1. OVERHEAD DAMAGE resulting from any accident - overhead damage is defined from the ground to in excess of 4m (13ft 2”) off the ground. Damage to the Windscreen, Tyres & Punctures are the responsibility of the Hirer. You are required to check the condition of the tyres & engine fluid levels on a daily basis whilst you have the Motorhome on hire. 8 - Before you vacate the vehicle you must check that you have not left any personal belongings in the vehicle. We are not responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle and we are hereby authorised to dispose of any after the end of the hire. 21. Vehicle Ownership The Vehicle remains the property JT Leisure at all times and we may repossess the vehicle at any time without further notice if you are in breach of this agreement at any time. 22. Extra Charges Toilet Cassette not empty - £50.00 Any Cooking appliances or equipment found to be uncleaned - £40.00 Fuel tank unfilled - £50.00 plus the cost of fuel Valet penalty if returned in a unsuitable condition - £150.00 Extra Charge for Rentals under 5 days during July and August of £20.00 Per Day. The vehicle is not designed to Exceed 70mph for passenger and vehicle safety 23. Parking You may park 1 car free of charge for the duration of your motorhome hire at the locked compound. Please note this is entirely at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for any damage during the hire. 24. Data Protection For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1984, we or any subsidiary thereof may hold and process by computer or otherwise the information given to or obtained by it. 25 Governing Law This agreement is subject to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes not resolved by mutual agreement may only be settled in the courts of this jurisdiction. 26. Severance If any provision or part-provision of this agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this agreement. 27. Entire Agreement The parties agree that the agreement constitutes the entire agreement between them and supersedes all previous drafts, agreements, arrangements and understandings between them, whether oral or written.
