Reservation • Booking form to be fully completed • Booking deposit is normally 50% of the hire charge *or subject to agreement and is payable at the time of making your reservation. • This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation • Booking Confirmation will be emailed to you once deposit / payment received • Full balance is due 8 weeks prior to commencement of hire. Any late payment will allow cancellation of the booking. Security Deposits • A Damage / Fuel security deposit of £1,000 will be required when you collect the vehicle • Customers may insure themselves for this deposit with companies such as Worldwideinsure.com • Some travel insurance policies cover vehicle rental excesses. Insurance • In order to hire you must be between 25 – 75 years old • All drivers mush be present when the vehicle is picked up • Insurance is Fully Comprehensive • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide their own holiday insurance to cover personal items and belongings and personal injury in the event of any accident • Destinations must be listed in advance of hire Licence • The standard UK driving licence covers category B, which enables the holder to drive any vehicle weighing up to 3,500kg (or 3.5 tonnes). Whether this vehicle is a car with eight passenger seats, or a van simple does not matter • Driving Licence must have been held for 2 years + • Max 6 points (No disqualifications) *If driver has more points or disqualifications then this must be submitted for insurance approval in advance Pets • Willing to accept well behaved pets (£40) (this must be agreed in advance), on the basis that guests would be responsible for any damage done by the pet and increase in deposit Fines & Penalties or Congestion Charges • The customer shall be liable for and settle all fines and penalties incurred during the term of hire Toilet • The customer is responsible for emptying the toilet and waste tanks etc prior to returning the vehicle. Failure to do so will incur a charge (est £50+) Smoking • NO SMOKING inside the vehicle. Failure to comply will incur (£100+ charge) Breakdown/Accidents/Incidents • Every effort is made to ensure the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition prior to each and every hire • The motorhome owner shall be under no liability for any thirdparty claims or damages in connection with or in consequence of, any accident or breakdown • Breakdown insurance included UK & EU. In the event of a breakdown, contact the number given to you and contact owner • Approval must be obtained from the motorhome owner in respect of repairs and replacements • The maximum height of your vehicle is clearly stated. Any overhead damage is the responsibility of the customer • Tyre damage including punctures, and damage to the windscreen and windows are the customer’s responsibility • Any call out charges due to negligence on the part the customer; for example, flat batteries, wrong fuel, height damage, lost keys etc will be their own responsibility Fuel/Gas/Maintenance • A full tank of fuel will be provided with the vehicle at the start of hire and the customer is expected to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. (Please keep your fuel receipt) • the motorhome must be returned in the same condition it went out both in side and out. Must be clean and tidy or a valet charge will be deducted from deposits £80 • Fuel will be charged at £2.50per litre if the vehicle is brought back with less fuel • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that oil and water levels and tyres are checked on a daily basis • A gas cylinder will be supplied at the time of hire. *any refill during the hire period is refundable by the motorhome owner up on production of a receipt* prior approval required Mileage • Unlimited mileage is allowed with prior consent Customer Co-operation • The customer agrees not to part with the possession or control of the vehicle hired and not to allow any person other than the agreed drivers to drive the vehicle • The customer also agrees not to carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle, and not to use the vehicle for carrying passengers or goods for hire • No illegal items to be transported • Only 5 persons carried whilst driving (seat belted) Pick Up / Drop Off • Collection time for the vehicle is to be agreed in advance • The motorhome is to be returned at the agreed time, otherwise there is a risk of driving without insurance, and of inconvenience to the owner & next user of the motorhome • If you encounter unavoidable delays please contact owner asap • A £25 per hour charge will be made for vehicles returning after the agreed time Car and Luggage Storage • Car and luggage storage available but these are left at owners own risk Cancellation Policy • More than 8 weeks before the hire: Loss of deposit only • 100% loss of the total hire charge after this period Exclusion of Liability • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions or elsewhere shall impose upon Midland Camper Hire any liability whatsoever to make payment or recompense to the Customer in circumstances where the booking cannot be commenced because the motorhome has become unavailable for use due to any circumstances beyond the control of Midland Camper Hire. In such circumstances, barring any default by the Customer, the liability of Midland Camper Hire will be restricted to the repayment of any deposit.
