Hire of the Vehicle – In entering into this rental agreement, you accept these terms and conditions and agree to strictly comply with them A. You acknowledge that the camper van is owned by us and that any attempted sub-letting of the van is a criminal offence. B. Collection of the vehicle is between 2-4pm on the day that the hire is due to commence. Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes for us to demonstrate the workings of the vehicle and its accessories. C. The vehicle must be returned by 11am on the final day of hire. The vehicle must be clean and in the same condition as it was when collected and must have a full tank of the correct fuel type. If this is not the case, a charge will be made and deducted from the security deposit. D. If the vehicle has been involved in an accident involving any damage to itself or a third party, you will be liable for policy excess of £500.00 or £750.00 E. If you lose the use of the vehicle during the period of hire, we are under no obligation to provide you with a replacement vehicle or refund you any money paid to us F. If you will be returning the vehicle late to us, you must advise us immediately otherwise an hourly charge will be applied G. Drivers must be aged between 23-75 years old and have held a full valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years, have no more than 6 points and no convictions or suspensions We reserve the right to refuse hire of our vehicle to any driver without explanation We require additional drivers details at least 7 days prior to hire date H. A valid photographic driver license must be produced at time of hire and a copy/scan emailed prior to commencement of hire. If on arrival your license is unacceptable, you will be unable to hire the van and no monies will be refunded I. Two forms of identification must be provided which can be either of the following – Utility bill, bank statement, mortgage statement or council tax bill that matches the driving licence address and is dated within the last 3 months of the hire commencement. J. Drivers will be held personally liable for any legal penalties, including fines and charges incurred during the period K. The hirer is responsible for all overhead damage to the vehicle resulting from any accident. L. No smoking of any kind inside the vehicle and a deduction will be taken from the security deposit if there is any evidence of smoking having taken place within the vehicle M. The hirer is required to keep the vehicle locked at all times when it is left unattended N. The hirer shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle or allow the vehicle to be overloaded. O. The driver and all passengers are required by law to wear the seat belts provided when the vehicle is being driven P. Although these are leisure vehicles, it is a criminal offence to drink and drive Q. No refund is given for the early return of the vehicle R. You will not make any modifications to the vehicle and ensure the vehicle is properly maintained whilst in your care Payments and Cancellations A non- refundable payment of £150.00 is taken at the time of booking to secure your booking The balance of the hire is due 4 weeks prior to hire commencing A security deposit for anyone aged between 25-75 of £500.00 is taken on collection of the vehicle, £700 for anyone aged 23-24 and is fully refundable within 7 days upon return of the vehicle on the agreed date and time, unless previously arranged between Kickbackkampers and the hirer and If the motorhome previously booked by the hirer is not available for any reason, we will endeavor to supply a replacement of similar size and specification, if this is not possible, all monies will be refunded. We have no obligation to refund any monies paid for campsites, events booked, travel booked or any other circumstances and these costs do not form part of any agreement made with Kickbackkampers and are fully payable by the hirer Late returns will be subject to a rate of £25.00 per hour unless previously arranged with Kickbackkampers If the booking is made within the 4 weeks of the date the hire commences, then full payment will be payable immediately Should you require to cancel your booking prior to the 4 weeks before hire commences. You will lose your nonrefundable £150.00 booking deposit Should cancellation occur within the 4 weeks prior to your hire date then you will lose the full amount of the hire charges paid If the hirer is wishing to take the vehicle out of the UK, this must be arranged at time of booking to ensure the particular is covered within our policy In the event that your hire cannot proceed because of legal government restrictions such as national lockdown, we will offer a change of date where the full value of your booking can be transferred to a new date. If alternative is not yet known, then a credit note will be issued We reserve the right to end this agreement and take back the vehicle from you at any time, for any reason Insurance Our VW T6.1 Campervans are covered with fully comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover for the named drivers during the hire period only as detailed on the booking form. Our insurance covers the UK and Europe, but previous arrangement must be made to ensure the country the insurer is wishing to travel to is covered In the event of an insurance claim, the full £500.00 security deposit will be taken to cover the full Insurance excess. Any damage to the vehicle internally and externally during the hire period that is not covered by an Insurance claim will be deducted from the deposit, this will include any loss of equipment, breakages, tyre damages, paintwork scratches, etc. Should any damage to the interior of the vehicle and/or accessories exceed the security deposit, you will be liable for settling these additional costs Any damages must be reported to Kickbackkampers immediately and an accident form completed at the end of the hire period Kickbackkampers are not responsible for any personal belongings lost or damaged whilst our vehicle is hired or any injury sustained whilst outside or inside our vehicles during the time of hire Accidents and breakdown Should an accident occur whilst the vehicle is in your care, or should any accident, loss or damage occur to the vehicle, you must inform us within 24 hours. All breakdown information is provided when booking with us Any theft, road traffic accident or damage to third party property arising out of your use of the vehicle must be reported by you to the local police. Names, addresses, and contact telephone numbers for all third parties and witnesses must be obtained by you, even if the matter appears to be straightforward and/or damage minimal By signing this agreement, you undertake to assist us and our representatives in handling any claim arising from any accident, incident or event occurring while the vehicle is in your care, including but not limited to the completion of report forms and witness statements, interview by our representatives or their agents and attending court to give evidence if needed In the event of a breakdown rendering the vehicle immobile, you must immediately telephone us in order that we can instruct our nominated breakdown service to arrange recovery of yourselves and our vehicle General We do allow pets, although this must be previously arranged and at a cost of £25 to help cover cleaning on return Please be respectful of the interior and do not allow your pet inside the vehicle if they are covered in mud. Should your pet cause damage to the vehicle interior and/or accessories, the cost will be deducted from your security deposit If you are intending on hiring our vehicle for festival use, we must be notified at time of booking and reserve the right to refuse booking If the vehicle is returned in an unclean state, a cleaning fee will be applied, and cost will be dependent on condition of vehicle Customers cars are parked at their own risk
