Mixed feelings which could have been worse. The day before we were due to collect our motorhome we received a call to advise it was not available - there was an alternative which we were assured was better. We had already arranged pet sitters and campsites so little option really - the switch was not their fault as one home had a serious axle issue. Insurance excess ideas given which, although not needed were excellent. The motorhome we collected was 2 feet longer and I was already a little concerned about Beachlaba Na Ba - as it turned out I needn't have been. Lots of little niggles: Diesel filter warning and glow plug warning flashed up regularly including a warning "beep" most of the 1st day. Fridge was quite broken. Carbon monoxide detector went off 1st night while using oven - we did not risk it again. Electrics were generally "iffy" - heater/water pump/ sockets etc.. Motorhomes were kept running by "qualified persons" but appeared to be without a quality workshop area. All in all it could have been worse and we made the most of it thoroughly enjoying our trip. Would I recommend - probably not for the price. Other outfits appeared to have far better presented homes at the same price.
Listed as 3 berth but only has 2 beds. Was told I must be an "inexperienced camper" to think a 3 berth van would have 3 beds, because obviously you can lie on the floor with your legs under the bed. Also will try to charge you £50 if there are any bugs on the outside of the van as he "doesn't clean vans". Told me when we were collecting it that the advertised awning is broken and can only be extended part way. The only time I've given up and stayed in a hotel after 24 years of camping. Probably fine if you only need 2 beds and no awning and don't mind paying £50 extra for leaving a bug on the windscreen, can't recommend it otherwise.
The van has 3 areas to sleep on, you was demonstrated this when you picked van up and you was happy to proceed but complain 3 days later. You was asked if you wanted to hire the drive away awning and you didnt want it, this can sleep 4/5 people on its own. The retractable awning is fine it is not broken. The vans have to be brought back in same condition and clean, you never cleaned the van, it required hoovering. You demanded your deposit back on day of dropping van off and told me you would take legal action if i never sent it back right away, when its company policy to refund ten days after hire, this attempted blackmail.
Had an amazing holiday, loved the motorhome experience, bed very comfortable, weather was really good too. Only stayed on one campsite, that had no electricity but everything worked fine with the calor gas, stayed in beautiful places usually next to a Loch. Would go again.
We had a great holiday in the north of Scotland in Yvonne's brilliant motorhome, which was very well designed, equipped, comfortable and had plenty of room to stay indoors on those wet days.
Excellent experience. Jak was extremely helpful and will definitely rent again if I have future requirements.
I hired the van for work purposes in the Lake District, Jennifer was a a pleasure to deal with, good communication and a great van.

Everything about the van was great for our first trip in a campervan. Julian showed us all we needed to know before setting off. The van had everything we needed and more for our trip. Highly recommended 👍

Jo was very accommodating, the motorhome was spotless and well equipt, they were always available during our break for advice and guidance and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
We hired a motorhome for 7 days and will be booking again in the very near future. From start to finish the experience has been easy with quick response from Susie to any queries we had. The collection procedure was easy despite us forgetting to get a DVLA code and Ewan made sure we had all the information we needed before we set off. The MH was cleaned to a very high standard. If I was to have any negative it would be that the pots and pans are a bit limited, but thats personal preference and not a biggy. We loved every minute thank you guys.
The van you see in the pictures is in that condition, its like brand new ! Jose and Vicki are most accommodating , although it looks big it is very easy to drive . I would not hesitate hiring again , the auto box is a piece of cake. Stuart and Sylvia.
We really enjoyed our motorhome mini break in the Brecon Beacons just before lockdown. Thank you Steve and Julia for rescuing our holiday. Great van except for the two door handles that need replacing and the dangerous screws coming through the bathroom wall that we both skinned our knuckles on. Otherwise good. We will hire again.

This was our first time doing this kind of thing and we must say that dealing with Jill was a pleasure. Great communication with small video clips sent to our phone with all instructions on how to use things. Nice straight forward hand over covering everything we needed to know and we were on our way. Great motor home equipped with everything we needed. If you are thinking of doing it, give JMS a go. Simon & Kim Johnson
We have just experienced a fabulous week around the NC500. We hired a 6 berth motorhome which had more than enough room for the two of us. It was easy to drive and easy to use (we had a very comprehensive handover!), as it was our first motorhome experience. On reflection the 4 berth T590 motorhome would have suited us a little bit more. The staff were all very good and helped to make our trip hugely enjoyable!
Booking and collecting the vehicle was really easy. It’s a new vehicle. The vehicle came equipped with pretty much what you would need in a small camper van. We got shown how to operate the different items and our vehicle was left in their lockable compound. The van has a decent engine so no issues driving it. As it is a short wheel base you will have to use the campsite facilities but that is the normal. The owners are also very friendly. All in all I would not hesitate to rent from them again. Thank you
We hired Jill's motorhome for a month so we could visit relatives and travel around Scotland. Jill was very accommodating and allowed us to view the vehicle to make sure that it was right for us. Before collection day Jill sent us lots of little videos to show how things worked eg hot water. When we collected the vehicle 'Jilly' , Jill took the time to explain everything again. The vehicle was very clean and tidy, fridge on, toilet rolls, soap, washing up liquid etc all in place. Jilly is very comfortable and we had no problems during our trip. Our deposit was returned promptly.
