My partner and I recently hired a van from Rentakampa, a short wheelbase VW T5. The van was excellent, Jonathan extremely helpful throughout, and refunded the deposit on the day of our return. In short, a really great experience.

I hired a camper van from this very friendly couple based in Cardiff, Lee and Lucy. Having never used a camper before they re assured me that its no different to driving anything else and showed me how to get the best out of the vans potential. We had a great weekend. I can't think of anything that you can add to the Camper as it appeared to have everything. We will have our work cut out to find our own van that is so well appointed.
We hired the van for a triathlon at South Cerney. The van is in excellent condition - has a cool swivel chair, a very comfortable fold down bed and loads of cool accessories. Perfect for triathlons as loads of room for the bikes inside.
We decided to hire before we buy and found Andy's motorhome close to us. He allowed us to view the motorhome before deciding to hire. Our journey took us from Derbyshire to the north of Scotland and the motorhome ran like a dream. The two single beds at the back were ideal for us as we did not disturb each other going to the bathroom at night. Andy's motorhome is fully equipped with all pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. There is a full oven, fridge freezer and a microwave. The motorhome has an awning and there is a table and chairs for lounging outside. I recommend hiring from Andy.
I hired the van for colleagues carrying out overnight fieldwork in Mid Wales. Lee was extremely helpful while we were planning the trip and my colleagues were very pleased with the van. Many thanks for all your help.

We were Motorhome novices, but soon got into the swing of things, we enjoyed it immensely, travelling up the west coast of Scotland and back down into Dorset, stopping whenever and wherever we liked along the way. Terri the van made our holiday. Kitted out perfectly for a long weekend away - Lee and Lucy have thought of all of the little things that are important/useful while you're camping including foldaway table, neatly stacked cupboards full of useful things! We have just had a fantastic trip in the Campervan on the Isle of Arran. The van was great and had everything we could need. Our 5 year old loved his “campervan holiday” and was comfortable in the bed conversion in the front seats. We certainly will be back to continue our desire to visit all the Scottish Islands!
We have had a great time, the kids loved it so much. I wasn't sure how well they would sleep as, at their age (2 and 4) this was the first time we had attempted anything like this - but they just loved their sleeping bags and bunk beds. Our youngest is still in a cot at night at home but never even attempted to get out of his bunk until morning :-)The motorhome is immaculate and so well equipped and easy to drive. We would definitely hire it again. In fact the children wanted to keep it and just leave you daddy's car! Thanks again
"So pleased we hired from South Lakes Motorhome for our holiday in Scotland. Sam and Adam were really helpful - always at the end if the phone or email when we had any queries prior to hiring and during our holiday. There were no hidden extras like some other hire companies. We left a couple of items behind and Sam very kindly posted back to us. We had a lovely time and can't wait to hire it again!
Nothing was too much trouble and we had a brilliant time during our 8 night stay in their excellent motorhome. The layout worked well for our family of 5. My husband and I used the over cab double and the 3 kids shared the 2 bunk beds (as our youngest is only 1) which meant we left the dinette as it was for evenings, no need to change it over to a double bed. From picking the motorhome up to dropping the motorhome off (not to mention the after care when we realised we'd left various belongings!) Adam and Sam really couldn't have done more for us. Thank you!!
