How to set up a motorhome awning
A canopy awning is fixed to the side of the vehicle and unfurls like a roller blind, with a couple of integral poles that fold down to form legs for stability. A winding pole, with a hook at one end, is used to unfurl the awning. The legs should be pulled down as soon as possible to give the awning stability as it is opened.
The awning should not be left out when the vehicle is unattended or overnight, in case the wind picks up. They are very effective sails and can be damaged easily.
